“The Not Enough Effect” – Part I

I’m sure you’ve noticed that there’s a major
shift that’s occurring in our economy.

Whether you live in the U.S or any other country,
the markets have begun their cyclical shift.

Many believe this downturn is caused by external
factors, but in reality, each of us plays a role in
this cause.

…but in a different way than you may even know.

And it’s not the “bad” thing the media, our
families, government, business or any other
system may tell you.

“They make no mention of the beauty of decay…”
~ From “Break It Down” By Tears For Fears

Everything that you see in “form” is on its way
to slowly dissolving – including our own bodies.
So it should come as no surprise that the principle
that everything is in a constant state of flux
also applies to our own lives…

It applies in:

Our bank balance
The love we feel from others
Our fitness level

but especially how we feel

You see, the economy is really a mirror of how
we feel
on the inside and these feelings are the
effects of our thoughts (both conscious and unconscious).

And it the un-conscious thoughts that drive us nuts…

With what’s occurring in the financial, real estate,
personal (and national) debt, trade deficit, and many
other indicators, we’re now being forced to look
more closely at our lifestyle of “spend and consume”.

And underneath that lifestyle is a much deeper cause,
and I call it the “Not Enough Effect”.

The Not Enough Effect is the feeling of not having
enough – whether it be in our finances, our relationships,
our sense of time, our self esteem and confidence…

…and even our health.

And the root cause is the feeling of not being enough.

At the “Origin Thought” level (the unconscious level of
thought that drives our behavior), we feel somehow
“incomplete” – and we feel the need to use the world of
material things (money, possessions, things we can
collect) and external reality (career, friends, sex, food)
to make us feel better.

But as Jerry Gillies, a wonderful teacher of prosperity
in the 70’s and 80’s once taught:

“No amount of money (or things) will ever cure a
poverty consciousness”

Strong words perhaps?

Or maybe a wake-up call of a huge magnitude – enough to
stir us from our “psychic sleep” as Vernon Howard once
called it.

A psychic sleep where we’ve allowed ourselves to be
seduced by the the material world – and forgotten
who we really are – and our connection to
the Divine.

This time of pending recession can be viewed as an
opportunity for growth – or as a time for fear
and lack.

And it’s all up to you…

Free Tele-Seminar
Next week, be looking for a free Tele-Seminar that
I’ll be hosting about how you can overcome the
“Not Enough Effect” and turn what looks like “loss”
into one of the greatest times of growth for not
just yourself, but your family, your friends, and
all life on our planet.

See you then…

To Your Dreams And To Your Abundance,

Paul Bauer

Well done. I use to love to read the paper and listen to the morning and evening NPR news. Now it feels almost threatening to have that kind of “influence” around. We need to stay strong and joyful even when there seems to be much evidence to the contrary. You did a marvelous job of detailing the issues. Thanks for making plain what is important. “We are what we think about”. Namaste, Natalie

I still love listening to NPR. One thing that I found helps to keep me on track is daily meditation. Listening to myself is a most important tool. David

I have to agree. I am interested in seeing what the turn in the cycle will bring. I have to admit I am very excited. Perhaps it will cause people to re-evaluate.
I know it will stir up a lot of fear. I feel oddly okay about it all. Knowing, I think that I have walked through that fire already and will have the kinds of skills that people need.

    The big picture keeps unfolding.

    Peace and prosperity,

    Paul,
Thank you for taking the time to write this and share with us. I dislike turning on the TV because there is absolutely nothing positive it is always doom, gloom, & despair.
I know that the time for many is difficult although in this time many blessings can be found.

    Thank you,

    Deb

    Hi Paul,

I enjoyed your post a great deal.

Yes, perhaps there is a very positive side to this downturn in the economy. I find your explanation very refreshing.

    Keep up the good work!

    All the best,
    Laurie

Hi Paul – Steve from Cornwall, UK. Thanks for this posting – it’s certainly a timely reminder and confirmation to me of something I had already begun to realise. I hadnt realised this was happening outside my own little circle though – and you are now confirming that it’s also happening on an even larger scale still.
I am with you all the way in this world perspective, and feel that the challenges this poses will produce some amazing results when consciously confronted and worked with.
To learn that any outer manifestations of love, health, success or abundance etc. are insignificant in comparison with our inner connectivity and resourcefulness is a lesson worth it’s weight in gold.
As our sense of separation increases, so our potential for healing and wholeness becomes both urgently essential and imminently possible. These are exciting times indeed!
With you in spirit across the little pond, Steve

Paul, great post – I really liked your definition, “The Not Enough Effect is the feeling of not having enough – whether it be in our finances, our relationships, our sense of time, our self esteem and confidence…

    …and even our health.

And the root cause is the feeling of not being enough.”

I’ve known a lot of people in my life that feel that way but could never really explain to them why they feel that way.

Hi Paul; the not enough effect has to do very much with Eckart Tolle teaching. I just read all his books when I got your newsttler.

We can not accomplish more and have more if we are not totally concious of the here and NOW. I just starting to put your teachings in practice and I already saw the wonderful effects in my life.

    Thank You,
    Luis

You appear to confirm some gut feelings long held that heredity and DNA are connected.

We assume the DNA is local and personal, which it appears is not so.

We also assume that we are in control because we have given meaning and credence to our existence by means of Ego. The Gift of Choice and Free Will, espoused in some religions. One believes this is The Ego experienced.

I gather from the transcript that there is a way to influence DNA and it’s growth and development from past millennia “IN THE PRESENT”! And, that this might result in the effect of stopping these traits from repeat in that line of development.

I’m certain that this is possible and realizable.

I listened to your recording and the truth is that you have really motivated me to look forward to your studies.
I have always had the effect calls there is not enough. true I do not have in my possession all the money I need to buy all the things I would like to but the fact is that more than enough money is out there and available.
I especially like where you say that we may not have all we want because it is not good for us. I think this is very powerful. these days I am expreriencing some very powerful victores in my life. I am on my way to become a millionaire.
    Lead me please. Kenneth Brown

I assume by means of your course that DNA can be changed “in the present”. Although it appears inherited and seems to originate over millennia.

If this experience is true then we have the cure to illness, disease, virus, mental disorder and all physical malaise as manifest within each individual.

This is indeed extremely powerful information that borders on miraculous with ability to change the human condition irrevocably.

We all have this ability. Please bring it out!

    Blessings. Love Dave
