What’s a Meme Shifter?

As the Great Shift continues to unfold on our planet and within each
of us, many people are wondering “what’s next?”

Some feel “on edge”, wondering when the next piece of bad news
will occur.

Yet others sense something wonderful is happening.

Both are right.

Because the great Shift isn’t “out there” somewhere. It’s within all of us and it’s
one of the greatest transformations in history.

A 125,000 Year Super Cycle

And according to astronomers and Shamans alike, a shift of this kind hasn’t
happened for 125,000 years.

But the core of the Great Shift isn’t some Mayan prophecy. Instead, it’s a shift
that’s bigger than any of us can imagine.

And it’s a chance to participate in the creation of new memes and breakthroughs
that our ancestors couldn’t have ever imagined.

What’s A Meme?

According to Wikipedia:

A meme 1] is “an idea, behavior or style that spreads from person to person within a culture.”

A meme acts as a unit for carrying cultural ideas, symbols or practices, which can be
transmitted from one mind to another through writing, speech, gestures, rituals or
other imitable phenomena. Supporters of the concept regard memes as cultural
analogues to genes in that they self-replicate, mutate and respond to selective pressures.

The word meme was coined by Richard Dawkins in his book “The Selfish Gene”.

A little more about Memes:

1) An idea that, like a gene, can replicate and evolve – (Csikszentmihalyi, 1994).

2) A unit of cultural information that represents a basic idea that can be transferred
from one individual to another, and subjected to mutation, crossover and adaptation.

3) A cultural unit (an idea or value or pattern of behavior) that is passed from one
generation to another by nongenetic means (as by imitation); “memes are the cultural
counterpart of genes.”

Are You A “Meme Shifter?

In essence, if you feel that something wonderful is happening, you’re a “Meme Shifter”.
In other words, you’re part of the creation of new memes that we collectively create
from nothingness into incredible shifts in:

Our technologies (of all kinds)
Learning systems
Our understandings of spirituality
Financial systems
Food systems
How we treat ourselves, our fellow beings and Mother Earth

…and hundreds of other systems within us and on our planet.

Cultural Genes?

Some genes replicate that aren’t necessarily serving to you individually
or for humanity. And since Memes are the genes of our cultures, we’re
beginning to become aware that certain memes that once served us are
beginning to erode and fall away.

Polluting the earth
Self judgment
“Us vs them” ideologies
Beliefs in scarcity
Equating money with success
Valuing “things” over ourselves or life itself

So, as a “Meme Shifter”, every choice you make and every thought you think begins to
affect our collective memes.

The real question is:

What choices will you make today that allow the Great Shift to unfold…?
What shifts are you willing to make to let the Infinite move through you
and become life itself?

Aloha and Mahalo for your time,

Paul Bauer

P. S. – From your perspective, what Memes are shifting or need shifting?

We’d love your feedback…

As the great shift unfolds and we take up our individual collective roles, there are questions which emerge or perhaps perculate in the mind which beg for answers which we already know to be within each of us…
First, what’s the next phase-shift? Also, When is the next phase-shift? (These are probably within each other) How can we grow ourselves to gain a one to one connection with the universal consciousness? Meditation, self hypnotism, or quantum insight? To contemplate the future of peace is indeed a profoundly awesome feeling indeed! To know what the future truely holds is enlightening, and is that the case for all human beings? The concept that all the life everywhere in the universe will eventually merge into a truly collective consciousness is another phase of true enlightenment.

One of the memes that I would like to see taught in churches and schools is ‘We are in God and God is in us.” This whole separation thing, and people feeling lonely because they do not have a connection to another one, would be less severe if we ‘knew’ that we were always connected to the One who made us. I suppose all of us need to have an intimate contact with a “God with skin” at one time or another, but to know who and where we really are would be such a comfort for so many.

Well I think the meme is a wonderful thing. I was homeless and it taught me that my connection with the universe or what ever you want to call it is so strong. I live in and with god at all times and pass my knowledge on to everyone that will listen to me. You and you alone are the only one that can change your world. Change your thoughts which are totally connected to the universe and the universe will go out of its way to make the changes happen.

Thank you for highlighting the fascinating idea of memes, it’s very exciting. There is one that springs to mind immediately for me and that is the western media’s infatuation with youth – this really needs to change pronto! Not only is it a complete disservice to young people as it’s sole purpose is to create “good consumers” in our future generation; it also completely disregards the contribution our elders can make to enriching the lives of us all – leaving our seniors disenfranchised and tragically overlooked. Just a thought, he smiles in the wonder of all that IS

the great transformation is going indeed. that is something more than my likes or dislikes. What’s happening out you put so eloquently that it seems the night sky sparkles with lights and illuminate everything around – memes are going so to speak. That’s obvious and that should be joyful, but I am hard to rejoice at current transformations. While learning to draw, I was taught about the eternal values, about the morality and spiritual responsibility of the artist. Nowadays that do not cost a penny. Successful artist is such who sells the most. Such position would look shamefully in the days of my youth, but currently it dominates in art world. Are there any to rejoice at? Can I change though some in the current events? I experience inner peace, yet it is transforming into the curse, because the light must be shared with all passersby. How to do that looking through the window and hiding personal limitations of the disabler/various excuses upon the pictures?

I want to thank you for the wonderful post. i enjoyed the fluency of your English. You equip me with wonderful questions – something to ponder deeper while sleeping,
    Yours Sincerely

Great article! It brings to light all those memes that have dominated our lives for so long. For me, the shift and changes are on a energetic level – if we assume that we are essentially energy condensed into this human form. Through the energy changes(various means), we can notice that all the memes that we have been identified with just fall away, because of the energy changes no longer resonate with that energy/thought/consciousness. It is similar to the law of attraction, like attracts like, and as we evolve further and those that are more attuned to this level of meme shifting, the energy field spreads to an even wider area. Still, the concept of free will is still intact, and that those that choose to remain in the older memes have the perfect right to do so – and this has to be respected. I am prepared for some souls that depart this new meme shifting, as a way of knowing that not all want to follow the path that is on doorstep!
