Your Higher Vision

Yesterday when I was working on an creative project, I had one of
those moments when your intuition tells you to step back and let go.

So I did just that.

I looked up into the pine trees that surround our deck and asked for guidance
and then I did what I’ve done for as long as I can remember…

I just gazed int the trees and felt the presence of Nature.  I allowed myself
daydream for what seemed to be about a half hour.  But it was just minutes.

Moments later, as I was looking into the trees, I saw a large bird with beautiful
wings fly over and I had t do a double take.  I look into these trees daily – but never
see this kind of bird.

It was perched high on a limb of the tree above me so I had to get up out of my
chair to see if I could catch a glimpse of it.

I had a feeling what it was, and I could only see its
beak.  It was a falcon.

A big beautiful falcon.

I forgot about my request for guidance and then I
remembered how Native Americans always trust
what shows up in Nature.

So I looked up the significance of the Falcon totem.

According to Avia Venefica at her site
whats-your-sign.com

“The Falcon animal totem comes to us when we
require higher vision, or higher knowledge in
solving current dilemmas in our lives.”

She adds:
At its core, the Falcon animal totem represents visionary power, wisdom,
and guardianship. This powerful bird awakens visionary power, and
leads you to your life purpose. The Falcon carries with it a message
of transition and change – perhaps in your vocation, work, career, etc.

And it resonated with me perfectly…

If you ever feel stuck or experience an impasse or frustration, you may
want to ask yourself:

“What’s the vision that’s bigger than me?”

and

“How can I allow it to guide me on my journey”

and just let go and allow Divine Spirit to speak to you and inspire you in new ways.

It may just be the very thing you’ve been wishing for…

Blessings of Aloha,

Paul Bauer

That is a beautiful tale of how pausing and being present is what is exactly missing in our lives most of our waking hours. We use our mind,so we think:), but block out all the inspiration we are around and receiving every moment of our life ..lovely

    Dear Paul,

Yesterday on a walk and looking up at 2 large birds in a tree at a bit of a distance I was told by my companion that they were large pidgeons. I was not sure but to me they looked like birds of prey rather like the falcon you saw. I need higher vision and presumably this was being reflected back to me whether or not they were what I thought they were.

Thank you Paul for your inner listening and reminding us to do the same. It’s true, Nature speaks when I’m ready and open and guides me to simple, Higher Awareness. I’m inspired to go outside right now with my open mind, heart, and ears.
Blessings on you and your work,
    Ellen

    Aloha Paul,

Mahalo for reminding me that I just need to be, not chase after anything. If I am stll and quiet, allowing my natural surroundings to bring inspiritation, all will be well.

    Aloha with love,
    Cherie

Thank you. I needed to be reminded to sit and be still in the moment. To let go and let God.

Kestrels, the smallest of the falcons, nested on our street this summer. Beautiful image and sharing Paul, and thanks for the link to the site with the explanations. Every day,we receive messages. It is our job to pay attention. Nature is a rich source of these messages through the animal and plant kingdoms. And remembering to set an intent for your day, you are also setting yourself up to receive messages in “seemingly” random things: a billboard, song lyrics, even the scrap of overheard conversation. Wisdom is forever flowing in, through and around us. We, as meaning-making creatures, can process that wisdom for the highest good for all! Just keep waking up, paying attention, noticing what you notice, and remembering to look beyond the obvious.

My nephew was running in the hills of West Virginia and saw a cougar at a distance running parallel to his path. A few days later, I sent him an email with a brief message about the meaning of cougar (mountain lion/leadership). He seemed genuinely pleased and appreciative to learn of this added meaning to what was already a pretty AWE-inspiring experience. Gently sharing what my friend Paul calls “the dream beyond the dream” is a time-honored way to share and enlarge this deeper wisdom appreciation.

Thank you Paul for this insight. Yesterday, I went to our church thinking “I am not sure why I am here–am floundering windering what purpose I have in this time”. Our pastor, Rev. Anne, spoke of “letting things sizzle”–simmer our thoughts rather than rushing through life–and not try to work so hard at whatever we think we must be about. And today, I read your message! I know I am being led in a direction that is right…thanks!

Beautiful, Paul 🙂 I have a particular fondness for falcons and hawks and always take a moment to pause and Be whenever I should see one. They are such graceful creatures.

Hello Paul,I Have heard & read so many times of our Higher Self.something that tries to speak to us in a non-conventional way to spur us on to actually Do what is Good for us and our Loved Ones,The more we can learn & experience from Talking and Reading with your type of Site the better I say,you find what you are looking for but you don’t always get it the way you might plan or think, just forget it and let Go,anyway,All The Best,Mark Searle.

As a Native American Mohawk woman I can totally relate to your story seeking guidance. My spirit animal is the butterfly which represents transformational energy in the stages of birth, development, ideas and non intrusive energy. I am a social worker within my community and this says it all about me……All about healing
